Summary

One last thing, if you do fall in love with him, please go slowly。 Be careful。 Trust your gut and know not all things are easy。 Damaged things can become beautiful if they’re placed in the right hands。 —Love, Gran

A small town where pickup trucks rule, the farmer’s market is bigger than the grocery store, and just about everyone goes to church on Sunday is the last place Henley Warren expects to find herself three months after her grandmother’s death。 But Gran left a list of things she needed Henley to do after she died, and fulfilling those wishes means spending a summer in the same place her mom fled from when she was only seventeen years old。 With each task that is ticked off the list, events are set in motion that uncover secrets surrounding Henley’s life。

Although Henley may have arrived on the shores of Alabama’s Gulf Coast feeling alone and lost in a world without her Gran, things soon change。 The small town holds more than she realized—including a broody, gorgeous, potentially dangerous guy who is always showing up when she needs him the most。 Henley fears her heart isn’t ready to trust someone so unpredictable but he makes her feel things deeper than she thought possible。 So, when Henley discovers the twisted, dark world he is living in, will it be too late to save her heart? Or has her heart been beyond saving from the moment he stepped out of his truck on that very first day?

Small town love storyAll of the twists and turns you'd expect from Abbi。 Southern charm, charming and sexy guy to give it more glimpses of those wild-eyed Southern boys。 Small town love storyAll of the twists and turns you'd expect from Abbi。 Southern charm, charming and sexy guy to give it more glimpses of those wild-eyed Southern boys。 。。。more

Everything about Henley annoyed the hell out of me。

I always enjoy books from this author so when I saw she had a new one released i bought it straight away。 I fell in love with Henley straight away。 She was soft and strong at the same time and a person i could really relate too。 I loved watching her gain confidence in herself and her skills。 This author always writes a really good story。 While this was a good book, well written and kept me entertained, i was a bit disappointed with the ending。 It seemed rushed and didn't give me the closure a bo I always enjoy books from this author so when I saw she had a new one released i bought it straight away。 I fell in love with Henley straight away。 She was soft and strong at the same time and a person i could really relate too。 I loved watching her gain confidence in herself and her skills。 This author always writes a really good story。 While this was a good book, well written and kept me entertained, i was a bit disappointed with the ending。 It seemed rushed and didn't give me the closure a book usually does - it was sort of anti climatic。 I wanted to see Saul & Rio's relationship be repaired and maybe Saul telling Henley about his sister and maybe about his relationship with his father - maybe there is a chance of a book 2。 。。。more

Page Turner!I really enjoyed the book。 Abbi has a way of having the reader connect with the characters。 I hope there will be more to the story。

Mostly GoodIn torn as to how I'm feeling。 First, I swore I would not read a book with Vivid in it。 The reality is bad enough, I don't need it in my fiction。 Second, I don't feel like we were given a chance to see Saul's "good" side。 Issues were verbally resolved and then the story was finished。 But what did that resolution do to the characters and Saul's relationships? But, the story was well written, as to be expected。 I mean, it's an Abbi Glines story。 She's kinda good with words。 Mostly GoodIn torn as to how I'm feeling。 First, I swore I would not read a book with Vivid in it。 The reality is bad enough, I don't need it in my fiction。 Second, I don't feel like we were given a chance to see Saul's "good" side。 Issues were verbally resolved and then the story was finished。 But what did that resolution do to the characters and Saul's relationships? But, the story was well written, as to be expected。 I mean, it's an Abbi Glines story。 She's kinda good with words。 。。。more

2。5 stars maybe? I feel like I would have liked this way better as a movie, honestly。 First, the plot was all over the place。 It was quick, yes, but there were hardly any conflicts and when there was, it was resolved in the next, like, two pages and then it would move on to something unrelated。 There was almost a bit of a mystery aspect, but it was so predictable that it was boring。 Unrelated to the book itself, but there were SO MANY grammatical errors that it was like the editor didn't even gl 2。5 stars maybe? Mentioning him was pointless because you learn nothing about him or their relationship! I was waiting for some big secret or revelation。。。but nothing。 Overall, I liked only two things about this book: the sex scenes, cause even though I didn't like Henley and Saul's "love story" the spiciness in the bedroom was steamy as hell。 And Rio。 Will I keep reading Abbi Glines? Of course。 One bad book out of the 20 I've read won't deter me。 。。。more

Good storyI think the only real issue I had was getting to like Henley。 She was kind of rude in the first half of the book so I didn't understand what Saul saw in her。 Otherwise it's a good read。 I'd have liked a dual pov from Saul, but this author doesn't normally do that (which is fine, just my preference)。 Good storyI think the only real issue I had was getting to like Henley。 She was kind of rude in the first half of the book so I didn't understand what Saul saw in her。 Otherwise it's a good read。 I'd have liked a dual pov from Saul, but this author doesn't normally do that (which is fine, just my preference)。 。。。more

Henley and Saul's story definitely had Rosemary Beach vibes to it。 The execution of the story was okay but I felt like some of the emotion in the story was missing for me。 Henley is completing a list of 7 things her grandmother left for her to do after passing away from COVID。 Henley returns to the turn her mother grew up in and proceeds to start going through the list。 She meets Saul and things aren't exactly smooth sailing for them。 He was kind of standoffish and she was clueless。 She had a fo Henley and Saul's story definitely had Rosemary Beach vibes to it。 The execution of the story was okay but I felt like some of the emotion in the story was missing for me。 Henley is completing a list of 7 things her grandmother left for her to do after passing away from COVID。 Henley returns to the turn her mother grew up in and proceeds to start going through the list。 She meets Saul and things aren't exactly smooth sailing for them。 He was kind of standoffish and she was clueless。 She had a former boyfriend, Will, but I was left with a lot of questions and few answers when it came to him。 Saul is a man with a lot on his plate。 His mother is a mess and he is constantly playing her guardian。 Add in his bachelor pad lifestyle and I was confused when he claimed to have had feelings for Henley。 Much was made about the fact he drove an older pickup truck, but no answer was ever given as to why。 Also, Henley finds out a lot about her past, but she doesn't really call her mother out on it。 The whole Lily drama at the end was kind of a mess。 I was kind of disappointed with that。 It seemed that her grandmother could have written her a letter explaining this whole thing instead of leaving Henley to try and make heads or tails out of it all。 Their ending was left very open and I was kind of confused about that also。 I wanted more of them together and less of Henley inferring things。 Would have been nice to have had a better look into their future。 。。。more

Reminiscent of her first books Lyrics of a small town is reminded me Abbi Glines’ earlier books in the way it felt to read it。 As usual, I was frame in from the beginning, but LoaST is a wonderfully unique storyline that had me smiling one minute and tearing up the next。 I would love for there to be more to read about Saul and Henley。 Amazing writing, fantastic story。

I have to admit that I was pretty disappointed。 Abbi was one of the authors that made me fall in love with reading, but this book meh。 For starters the h was soon bland I didn't connect with her at all, and she didn't speak at all with the H if not to scream at him。 They went from not talking to being in love with each other。 And the epilogue was so random, I feel like the plot was all over and the whole conversations between the characters was so bad I have to admit that I was pretty disappointed。 Abbi was one of the authors that made me fall in love with reading, but this book meh。 For starters the h was soon bland I didn't connect with her at all, and she didn't speak at all with the H if not to scream at him。 They went from not talking to being in love with each other。 And the epilogue was so random, I feel like the plot was all over and the whole conversations between the characters was so bad 。。。more

This was。。。 Everything。 There's books you read for the page turning madness, the suspense, the crazy twists and turns。 Then there's the books you read that are just everything。 They're life。 It helps out things into perspective。 What matters and what doesn't。 That there is always a reason for everything, with bigger things at play。Abbi, this book was absolutely beautiful。 A fantastic love story - with some steamy scenes of course。 Now, I love all of your books, but I think your husband was on to This was。。。 Everything。 There's books you read for the page turning madness, the suspense, the crazy twists and turns。 Then there's the books you read that are just everything。 They're life。 It helps out things into perspective。 What matters and what doesn't。 That there is always a reason for everything, with bigger things at play。Abbi, this book was absolutely beautiful。 A fantastic love story - with some steamy scenes of course。 Now, I love all of your books, but I think your husband was on to something when he said this was your best。 Give it a try, you won't be disappointed。 。。。more
